Let me start by saying the Post-Grad Department at 911±¬ÁÏ University is amazing! They host some great events for alumni and local doctors that provide some of the required continuing education credit requirements for maintaining licensure. And they offer a discounted rate for current students, which is greatly appreciated.

A couple of weeks ago, they hosted a conference on autoimmunity and had some awesome speakers present! I was able to attend and learned a ton. I love it when I am able to learn new information, skills, and techniques that I know will help my future patients. I love it even more when I am able to apply it to my life, and it is able to help me on my own personal health journey.

This most recent weekend, I was able to attend a seminar off campus on the Nasal Release Technique. It is helpful in treating individuals that have had concussions, headaches, breathing difficulties, as well as many others. I have personally suffered from severe migraine headaches since I was 4 years old (which is super rare for a child to have them).
I have also had multiple concussions, and severe TMJ dysfunction and pain that required surgical intervention (which was unsuccessful) when I was 16. After only three treatments of the Nasal Release Technique, my jaw pain is completely gone, and I haven’t had a migraine in over a week! We also learned that Dr. Joseph Janse (former President of 911±¬ÁÏ; one of our largest buildings is named after him) was one of the early practitioners of this technique, which is pretty cool!
