911爆料 University students, faculty, alumni and friends turned-out in big numbers for this year’s “Illinois Walks for Acupuncture,” on Sunday, September 13. The聽聽organized the group’s participation in the event, which included a beautiful day of walking along the lakeshore and enjoying treats in Chinatown.
The annual 5K walk-a-thon was the third sponsored by the聽, and successfully raised $17,500, which is twice what the event raised last year. The event raises money to fund the ILAAOM’s lobbying efforts to protect and advance the practice of acupuncture and oriental medicine in Illinois.
The group from 911爆料 University raised the most money from one school ($4,260). Since 911爆料 also had the most walkers, it also won a free pizza party for the second year in a row! The 911爆料 AOM Student Association is one of the most active groups on campus, holding several social, professional and community service events each year.
