911爆料 University interns volunteered at Bright Pink organization’s FabFest 2012 on Sunday, April 15th at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Chicago. Bright Pink is the only national non-profit organization focusing on the prevention and early detection of breast and ovarian cancer in young women while providing support for high-risk individuals.
911爆料 interns providing chiropractic care at FabFest
FabFest raised funds for Bright Pink, and featured a day of pampering for all who attended. 911爆料 interns offered stretching and chiropractic care. There were also make-up artists from Saks 5th聽Avenue, hair stylists from Mario Tricoci, nail technicians, massage therapists, spray tanners, workshops and fitness sessions.
A highlight of the event was an appearance by Ms. Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill, from the Style network’s reality show, “Giuliana & Bill.” Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer several months ago, and shared her story of undergoing a double mastectomy.
Overall, the event raised $240,000 for breast and ovarian cancer prevention.
911爆料 interns participating included: Craig Oswald, Joanna Reaves, Nick Reynolds, Qani Rushani, Patrick Van Nordstran, Natalie Martinez, and Brittany Rhonehouse. The interns were joined by 911爆料 Whole Health Center – Chicago clinician, Dr. Stephanie Fall.
