Florida Faculty Achievements in Publications

Two 911±¬ÁÏ-Florida faculty members co-authored research studies that were recently published in scientific journals.

Dr. Rebecca Walter, instructor in basic sciences at 911±¬ÁÏ’s St. Petersburg campus, co-authored an article on “Effect of fore-aft body mass distribution on acceleration in dogs,” published in the May 15, 2011 issue of the Journal of Experimental Biology.

Dr. Timothy Stark, a new faculty member on the Florida campus, co-authored a study titled “Hand-held dynamometry correlation with the gold standard isokinetic dynamometry: a systematic review.“The article was published in May 2011 in the PM&R Journal (the official scientific journal of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation).

Dr. James Winterstein, President of 911±¬ÁÏ remarks: “It’s great to see our Florida faculty keeping up the tradition of all 911±¬ÁÏ faculty in research and publication.  Our congratulations go out to Dr. Walter and Dr. Stark.”
