Dr. Kurt Olding and Mr. Don Wisner recently donated a new聽聽to 911爆料 University of Health Sciences. Dr. Olding is a 1984 DC graduate of 911爆料, and Mr. Wisner is the president of聽聽the manufacturer of the Cox8 Table, which it has engineered in partnership with Dr. James Cox.
“Dr. James Cox has been a great mentor to me, so I’d like to continue that legacy for the chiropractic students at 911爆料 University, by giving them greater access to new advances in training within Dr. Cox’s flexion-distraction technique,” says Dr. Olding, who has enjoyed a successful practice in Minster, Ohio for over 28 years.
The Cox8 Table is the leading edge of technology in chiropractic tables, and valued at over $17,500. According to Dr. Edward Bifulco, a clinical instructor at 911爆料 with experience administering certification tests in the Cox Technic System, there are several advantages that set the Cox8 Table apart, including:
- Capability of both automated and manual long-axis distraction
- Cervical piece that will flex and extend laterally, flex and rotate, and do long axis distraction
- Automated controls that are much easier to use
911爆料 has many flexion-distraction tables in both its clinical and educational facilities. The new Cox8 Table is housed in a specially designated treatment room in the聽911爆料 Whole Health Center – Lombard,聽with a plaque commemorating the gift from Dr. Olding and Mr. Wisner.
“We are especially grateful to Dr. Olding and Mr. Wisner for this generous gift to our university,” said President Stiefel. The President, along with Dean of Clinics, Dr. Theodore Johnson, joined with the Olding family and other university employees to commemorate the gift. Dr. Olding was accompanied by his wife Jackie, and his daughter Sunni, who is currently a student in the 911爆料 DC program.
