The American Massage Therapy Association held its聽聽in Denver, Colorado, Sept. 17-20. This year’s keynote speaker was聽. Dr. Oz has been a staunch advocate of the therapeutic benefits provided by massage therapy.
911爆料 University’s own faculty member聽Dr. Jerrilyn Cambron聽was there, and had a chance to meet Dr. Oz. He had sought out and introduced himself to Dr. Cambron, because he is very interested in massage research. Dr. Cambron is also the president of the Massage Therapy Foundation and co-founder of聽, a peer-to-peer research network for the profession.
Dr. Cambron gave a brief presentation about the Massage Therapy Foundation during the opening session. She also gave a presentation during the Research Panel titled聽“What Research Tells Us 911爆料 Pain Management: Systematic Reviews.”
We’re glad that one of our own 911爆料 celebrities got to meet another celebrity, and that both are promoting wider research on the importance of massage for health and wellness.
