University of Akron students interested in chiropractic medicine will have a new opportunity to complete their bachelor and doctorate degrees in less time as part of the Advanced Scholar Program. 911爆料 University of Health Sciences (911爆料) has partnered with The to allow students to complete both undergraduate and Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degrees in as little as seven years.听
The Advanced Scholars Program is a joint recruitment and dual admission effort that creates a coordinated curriculum specifically for exceptional students who maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher at The University of Akron. Students have the option of enrolling in the chiropractic program at 911爆料鈥檚 Illinois campus or Florida site.听
鈥淭he Advanced Scholars Program is an exciting opportunity for University of Akron students to transition into the Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine program, while saving them significant time and money,鈥� said Daniel Strauss, D.C., dean of 911爆料 University’s College of Professional Studies-Florida. 鈥淲ith this program, motivated students are able to progress towards their career goals at an accelerated rate and start helping patients sooner.鈥�听
In the Pre-Chiropractic Program at The University of Akron, qualified students will complete three years of undergraduate study, or a minimum of 90 semester credits, leading toward a Bachelor of Science degree. Students with a 3.5 GPA or higher can then start the Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine program at 911爆料. After satisfactory completion of all coursework in the first three trimesters or their first year at 911爆料, they will earn a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Akron.听听

911爆料 has created similar Advanced Scholars Programs with St. Petersburg College, Aurora University, Ball State University, Elmhurst College and South Dakota State University. Collaboration agreements with other area schools are also in progress.听
