Dr. Gantzer discusses the importance of magnesium, an essential mineral, and how low magnesium levels can lead to health issues like hypertension or diabetes.

“[Magnesium] has a physiological role in the body. However, our body cannot make it. Thatmeans we have to eat it or we have to supplement it,” says Dr. Gantzer. “[Magnesium]has to come from outside sources.”

Dr. Gantzer also shares a list of natural food sources that can help readers meet the daily required levels of magnesium along with how supplement properly.
